Functional CCA
As yet another example of the capabilities of an NX3D machine, this prototype circuit card assembly what made by milling out traces on two copper clad blanks then riveting them together at designated via locations effectively yielding a two sided circuit board.
Each blank was cut by loading a GERBER file into the NX3D. The system then requested bit changes for the router before drilling, milling traces, then milling the outline.
It takes the NX3D about 90 mintues to perform the routing for each blank.
Once complete, components were soldered into place and the board was put into use.
